My wife, Amanda, and I were lucky enough to be able to travel up to Washington back in October to visit some dear friends and get some time away from the hustle and bustle of life in Dallas. Several of my college roommates and their wives live in Spokane, WA now and have started a church there. We had a wonderful time in lovely Spokane, as well as seeing some of the farms and orchards in the surrounding hillsides. We were also able to get over to beautiful Coeur D’Alene, Idaho for some hiking around the lake. After a few days on the east side of Washington, we drove west to Seattle, stopping along the massive Columbia River to stretch our legs and take some photos. We spent a day or so in Seattle, then headed out to the Olympic Peninsula to spend a couple of days in the forest. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and we were able to do some hiking in the mountains around Lake Cushman, which was absolutely gorgeous. After a few short days in the Pacific Northwest, we pretty much fell in love with that area, and would be delighted to go back. So, if you or someone you know is getting married up there, let me know and we can work something out!
