This past weekend, after a reschedule due to somebody’s botched haircut (note: probably not the first person that comes to mind), I finally got the chance to shoot Wensdy and Josh’s engagement session. The weather was pretty much gorgeous, albeit a little warm (ok, relatively speaking, it wasn’t that warm, but warmer than it has been lately). We wound up shooting around downtown for a couple of hours, and I think we had a lot of fun even if I do say so myself. Wensdy and Josh are great together, as you can see, and they really made my job easy. They were both naturals in front of the camera, and I think Josh relaxed a little when I picked up on his CTU ringtone (street cred, or something along those lines). Wensdy was a trooper walking all over downtown and through a giant field of mosquitos in stilettos, sacrificing comfort because, as my wife would say, “the shoes look cute.” I’m pretty sure she didn’t get bitten my a single one of those terrible creatures, probably because they were all feasting on me.
Anyway, enough from me. Enjoy the pictures, and let me know what you think in the comments! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in the spring!

First of all, I would just like to point out that I have not posted anything in five months. I have been so busy lately it is unreal, and I’m lucky my wonderful wife is so patient with me since most of my evenings are spent staring at a computer screen instead of her. Maybe one of these days I’ll get all caught up and actually be able to have a life again. Not that I’m complaining…it’s great to be busy and it’s great to have work, so if you need me for something, don’t hesitate because I’m busy!
I shot Kaitlin and Jason’s wedding back in May. It was a lot of fun, and there are a ton of images that I love and want to post, but I went ahead and just picked out a handful of my favorites from their day. I hope you enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago now, I shot Amberly and Carson’s engagement photos down at White Rock Lake. I’ve never shot down there, but I ride my bike around there fairly often, and I’ve seen a few different areas I thought might make for some good photos. I didn’t realize that it would take a lot longer than I thought to walk to all of them, though. Amberly and Carson were both troopers though and we hoofed it all around the lake for the sake of getting some sweet shots, and I think it was worth the effort. They were a ton of fun to shoot and so natural in front of the camera, it really made my job pretty easy! I hope you enjoy the images!

Last weekend I shot some engagement photos for Kimberly and Harrison, who are getting married in just a few more weeks! I’m really excited to get to shoot their wedding, and I know it will be such a beautiful day! I actually shot Kim’s bridals earlier today, so stay tuned for a preview image from that session, and of course the rest of the images will be put up after the wedding. I hope you guys love your engagement photos, and I can’t wait for the wedding!

I apologize for not being very active the past month or so. Many of you know I just got married a couple of weeks ago, so life was kind of hectic for a while, but married life is settling down nicely for Amanda and I now.
Back in November I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of one of my friends from my hometown, Guthrie Alexander, and his lovely wife Brittney. They both graduated from The University of Texas and live in Austin – you might have seen their awesome house when they were on HGTV’s “Property Virgins” a while back. Their wedding was exciting for me for many reasons. From a personal standpoint, the amount of love present during their celebration was inspiring, and the sense of family shared by everyone in attendance was simply incredible. From a technical standpoint, shooting the wedding was challenging because I was out of my element – the sun sets about 5:00 in Texas in November, so I had no daylight to work with and had to improvise a little bit. The pace of the evening was also quite a bit quicker than what I am used to, so I had to stay on my toes and kind of make things up on the fly, but I feel like I was able to get some good images because of that. Anyway, enough talking and on to the reason you are here!

If you like the images, please leave a comment in the form below!
Brittney and Guthrie – thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. I hope you guys enjoy your images, and I know that you will have a wonderful marriage!
Lovely!
Looks nice T-Bomb! Well done.
A few weeks ago I got to check out a new location up near McKinney to shoot some engagement photos for Lauren and Travis. Lauren and my fiancĂ© Amanda are friends from church, and she actually works for the same company I do. She and Travis are both Aggies as well, so naturally they are wonderful people! Although they were a little concerned with how they did on the shoot, they were a ton of fun and I think they did a great job! Having Amanda and our friend Katie along for comedic relief definitely helped, too! After the experience of shooting them for their engagements, I’m really excited to get to shoot their wedding in June, because I know it will be a blast! I hope you guys enjoy the images!

A few weeks ago now I had the great pleasure of shooting John and Nancy’s beautiful wedding at Reunion Ranch just north of Austin, near Georgetown. With all of the rain we have had in Texas the past few months they were a little nervous since the wedding was outside, but the weather turned out to be gorgeous, and the wedding was an absolute blast. The best part about it was being surrounded with some of my closest friends (practically family) from college, and having my great friend and photographer D.O. shooting with me as well. Here are a few of my favorite images from the wedding leading up to the reception. Hopefully I will be able to post some reception images soon.

those are stunning! I love the clarity and depth of field. Great work!
I meant to post up some of my favorite images from Nancy’s bridal session in Dallas right after the wedding in Georgetown, but, in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been a little busy lately. I guess that’s really neither here nor there, but let it be known that I am almost married, and hopefully the crazy busy life will calm down a little bit. For the time being, please bear with me and I promise I’ll do my best to blog as often as I can! I hope you enjoy the images, and if you do, let me know in the comments section below! Thanks!
